Santa Clara University alumna leads project transforming park into affordable housing

San José Spotlight reports on a new affordable housing development transforming Santa Clara's Coleman Avenue office park into 142 townhomes.

The Santa Clara City Council unanimously approved City Ventures' four-story project, which will replace Airport Park Garden Office Suites with for-sale homes near Santa Clara University. The all-electric development includes 29 affordable units, community recreational space, gardens, and 234 parking spaces. Led by Santa Clara University alumna Pamela Nieting, the project exceeds the city's affordable housing requirements and supports residents earning $70,350 to $164,000 annually.
