Introducing the Sprint Teams for Elon and Queens

Elon University and Queens University of Charlotte have launched specialized "sprint teams" to guide their upcoming merger, with representation from both institutions working to integrate the best features of each school.

These cross-campus teams meet weekly to gather input from faculty, staff, and students while identifying integration challenges and recommending improvements to academic programs and student experiences. The initiative is supported by Boston Consulting Group and Huron Consulting Group, firms with extensive higher education merger expertise. Leadership includes co-chairs Pamela Davies (Queens president emerita) and Jim Piatt (Elon senior VP), with specialized teams covering graduate programs, academic affairs, finance, facilities, communications, and athletics.
