Hard work pays off for August grads - | Nebraska Today

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln celebrated 556 graduates during its August 16 commencement ceremony, featuring notable achievements from students across diverse backgrounds and career paths.

The ceremony honored 548 graduates representing 39 countries, 34 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, and over 70 Nebraska communities. Among the standout graduates were Kendall Bartling, a political science major who founded the Husker Vote Coalition and registered over 1,000 voters, and Josiah Allick, who earned his MBA while launching a professional basketball career with the Southland Sharks in New Zealand, where he became the first player in team history to earn MVP honors.
