Family medicine with obstetrics physician joins HRMC medical staff - The Daily Plainsman

Huron Regional Medical Center welcomes Dr. Sarah Hogenson, MD, a family medicine physician with specialized training in rural obstetrics, to their medical staff and birthing center team.

Dr. Hogenson brings extensive experience in maternity care and high-risk obstetrics from her rural training track residency at North Colorado Family Medicine. Originally from Montana, she earned her medical degree from Western Michigan University and holds board certifications in family medicine and various advanced life support procedures. Her commitment to rural healthcare includes volunteer work with medical brigades and therapeutic riding programs, making her well-suited to serve the Huron community.

• Provides full-spectrum family medicine with special focus on obstetrical care at HRMC Birthing Center
• Completed specialized rural training track with expertise in cesarean deliveries and bedside ultrasound
• Active in rural health advocacy through multiple professional organizations and community volunteer work
• Enjoys gardening, horseback riding, and painting pet portraits outside of medical practice
