The University of Nebraska-Lincoln's esports program is expanding with a new dedicated gaming lounge in the Nebraska Union basement, as reported by the Daily Nebraskan.

The new facility will feature high-powered gaming PCs and serve as a community hub for the university's eleven esports teams. Currently limited to one team training at a time, the expanded space will accommodate multiple teams simultaneously and provide opportunities for content creation and brand development. Led by coach Ryan Tan, the program competes against other Big Ten universities in monthly tournaments across the nation.
