Cosmic baboon rampages through deep space in gorgeous new nebula photo

Astrophotographer Greg Meyer captures the stunning Raging Baboon Nebula, revealing a cosmic formation that resembles a colorful baboon's face in the depths of space.

Meyer's breathtaking deep-space photograph showcases molecular dust clouds located 500 light-years from Earth in the constellation Corona Australis. The nebula's brown dusty outline forms the baboon's mouth and face, while brilliant blue reflection nebulas create glowing eyes. The image also features the globular cluster NGC 6723, containing hundreds of thousands of stars positioned 30,000 light-years away.
